Water Analysis

Water is a fundamental substance in the life of all living organisms. But it is also a very important determinant in the relationship between people and nature. It is water that gives life to nature. Without rivers, rivers, lakes, basins and seas, there can be no nature. Water is the first factor in ensuring balance in nature. Today, unfortunately, many natural resources, such as water resources, are also under threat and the most important point environmentalists stand for is the protection of water resources. To address this issue, which has long been the subject of debate, on the right ground, political, health, economic, social and cultural aspects need to be addressed.

The depletion of water resources is a problem with the health of all living things, especially people. The discussions on health and water have been handled differently according to the importance given to water and the needs of people. However, this relationship should be evaluated with a wider perspective. Otherwise, one side will always be missing.

Water is one of the fundamental components of nature that gives life to the place it touches and creates new lives. Water, which is vital for nature and human, has been important from the moment people first existed. People's efforts to make water useful have been in parallel with the development of social, economic and cultural life throughout history. People's motives to benefit from water have socialized human and water relations. Today, however, sometimes people and nature have suffered in human and water relations. It has always been effective in the ambition of people to win more.

People have always tried to dominate nature and as a result they have broken the harmony with the natural environment. Water is also necessary for the nature of human beings. For this reason, observing the human relationship with water and not having a relationship between water and nature have serious consequences. Rather it has been a demolition for nature.

The first settlements in history have always been water edges. There have been wars due to water sharing. The number of international agreements on water is unknown. Even the Hammurabi Laws, known as the first law in history, were written because rules for the use of water canals were needed.

In the 1500 of BC, the work of obtaining clean water was observed in the ancient Egyptian period. At that time, the water obtained from natural sources was used as drinking water by adding alum. By the nineteenth century, there was no longer any clean water sources. After the industrial revolution in Europe, the ways to make water clean and drinkable have started to be sought. Americans began to establish water treatment systems in the 1900 years.

In the Ottoman period, new methods have been used in the provision and distribution of water. The water needs of the people have been met by the boilers, wells, fountains, fountains and baths. In addition, seawater can be used to increase the availability of water has been made and used in Jeddah at the end of 1800.

Water is no longer a simple substance, it is a matter of value. Water has become a commodity.

Scope of Water Analysis

Water has always been a cleaning agent throughout history, unfortunately the water itself needs to be increased. Because it is now impossible to find fresh water in nature. Solid, liquid or gas wastes left to the nature pollute the water resources and there is an incredible amount of pollution in the waters.

Clean and healthy water, water-free microorganisms and toxic toxic substances and water containing the necessary minerals in a balanced way. Water is a beverage, but one of the basic conditions for ensuring food safety. It is impossible to talk about food safety without water safety. In fact, although it is thought that drinking and using water may be different, it is a fact that the usage water used in cleaning, dishwashing and laundry can be dangerous for human health.

When the possibility of access to safe drinking water increases, when cleaning conditions are provided and waterborne diseases are prevented, it is possible to prevent about one in every ten diseases on earth. 1,5 million people due to child diseases, 0,5 million people due to malaria, 1 million people die from malnutrition because of safe and clean water every year.

Water analyzes conducted by authorized laboratories are of great importance in this respect. Microbiological risks come at the beginning of the tests and analyzes to ensure water safety. The bacteriological characteristics of waters are important for being healthy. Many microorganisms are fed by water-dissolved substances and rapidly multiplying. Some of them are disease-causing. In order to determine the quality of water, the following basic tests are accepted by the World Health Organization: analysis of water resources, analysis of processed water, analysis of water in distribution systems and analysis of stored water.

The legal regulations issued for water quality in European Union countries are as follows:

  • Directive on the Quality of Water for Human Use 98 / 83 / EC
  • The Directive Establishing a List of Concentration Limits and Labeling Information for Natural Mineral Waters 2003 / 40 / EC and Determining the Conditions of Natural Mineral Water and Source Waters for Ozone-Enriched Air Treatment
  • By-law on the Conditions for the Use of Active Aluminum for the Removal of Fluoride from Natural Mineral Wet and Source Water 115 / 2010

Within the scope of the harmonization process studies in our country, the Regulation on Water for the Purpose of Human Consumption has been published by the Ministry of Health based on these legal arrangements. This regulation, which was amended last year in 2016, regulates the principles for the compliance of water for human consumption purposes with the technical and hygienic conditions, the water quality standards, the production, packaging, labeling, sales and inspection of drinking water and drinking water.

Reliable, fast and high quality measurements, tests and analyzes are carried out by taking into account the legal regulations and domestic and foreign standards that are in force in the authorized test and inspection laboratories.
